Summary:
Learn how to integrate documents between applications
using Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prerequisites:
Introduction to Windows, Introduction to Microsoft Word,
Introduction to Microsoft Excel, Introduction to
Microsoft PowerPoint, or equivalent knowledge.
Class length: 1 day.
Targeted Skills:
- Use and customize the Microsoft Office Toolbar to
start, display, and navigate among Microsoft
Office program applications.
- Use the Microsoft Office Help system to search
for topics, as well as locate Cue Cards Help and
work with Office Examples and Demos.
- Format a Word document by using AutoFormat and
Format Painter, and copy and link Word documents
by using Drag and Drop and edit, link technology.
- Share information between Excel and Word by using
cut and paste, and Drag and Drop. Learn how to
edit an embedded chart from Word by using Excel's
menus and tools.
- Understand the difference between creating an
Excel chart on the same worksheet and creating
one on a separate chart sheet, as well as how to
copy each type of chart into a Word document. You
will learn how to use the Insert, Object command
from Word to locate and copy an Excel chart,
which takes advantage of Microsoft's OLE
technology.
- Create a logo in PowerPoint by using WordArt and
clip art, and learn how to insert and link an
object (the logo) into a Word document.
- Learn about creating a PowerPoint slide show from
new data, as well as by copying existing data
from Word into PowerPoint. You will display the
PowerPoint slide show from the linked logo in the
Word document.
